I am working on two more Primitive Garden blocks, and I will post a picture this weekend.  I've been feeling a little under the weather...also working on a new wool applique block, will post pics of that also.  My new lap hoop is in!  I can't wait to start using it.  I purchased it from a local quilt shop "Quilters Stash", and the owner Sue is a hand quilting pro.  I am taking a class soon, but I have a good idea of how the process works.  I'm sure just like anything else, practice makes perfect.  Or almost perfect, hopefully.

I started the Primitive Garden BOM last year, but got a little sidetracked...I have the first two completed, and the third just needs a few more leaves and petals stitched down.  I love the designs by Lisa Bongean at Primitive Gatherings, they are all so beautiful.  The designs are fused down hand dyed wool, and then blanket stitched with perle cotton and  floss, all variegated, some hand-overdyed, so yummy!  So many projects, so little time...

I started a new BOM this year, Aunt Millie's Garden by the Piece O Cake line, it's not quite finished yet, but more than 1/2 complete.  I just love their designs, and chose to stick with the candy red background, although not my usual comfort zone.  It so bright and cheery,  reminds me of happy thoughts of Spring... even if it is only 19 degrees today!

Punch Needle

Here is another punch needle project from Lisa Bongean called "Old Time Poinsettia" from her Primitive Christmas book, waiting to be framed...
This was a fun and quick project I did last November, it is called Petunia Pig from Threads that Bind.  I'm not sure exactly what I'll do with it yet, maybe a needle case cover?

First Blog, Yah!

I am new to Blogging . I have been following some other quilting blogs and have been inspired to give it a try.  I have so many projects that I'm working on, and love to see what others are working on, too.  I'm hoping to stay on track with my BOM's this year, and have enough time to finish some of my many UFO's.  I always seem to think more is better... especially when it comes to fabric.
