I've spent yet another rainy morning prepping three more BOW's, I thought once they're sewn down I'll be caught up. Yippie! Then the mail came this afternoon with this weeks block, so I guess I'm almost caught up! This weekly arrival really forces me to stay focused, which as you all know by now, isn't one of my stronger qualities! LOL ;-) I was thinking about saving them to bring on vacation, but I haven't decided yet. We are going North to Maine for the week. I love going there, living on the ocean (even if it's only for a week) and I have been going almost every summer for about 17 years now. I can't wait!!!!!!! It's so fun to bring my kids to a place that I've loved for so long.
Update on the machine saga: WARNING- If you are tired of my complaining about it, just skip to the last paragraph :-) I actually got through the other day, and my machine is not ready, STILL. Has it been a month yet? I believe it has......*sigh* The woman who answered the phone was kind of lacking in customer service to be honest. I'm getting the "we will call you when it's ready" line.... The the owner of the shop is at a conference, so I am unable to convey my dissatisfaction, unhappiness, and all around grumpiness to her. The store I bought the machine at went out of business last fall, and I have not dealt with this shop before, and it will be my last time. I wanted to bring it to a Pfaff dealer, so that's the only reason I chose them. Never again. This is my last post complaining about it! The next time I talk about it, I will be telling you how great it runs... fingers crossed that it will be soon! I also found out that the shop down the street CAN service my Pfaff, even though they are a Viking dealer. I'm wishing I looked into that before I sent it off into the black hole. On to something better now, I found out about a great giveaway today so I figured I should spread the word. The blog is called I'm Just a Guy Who Quilts by Ryan. He's having a giveaway in celebration of his birthday, and I must say, it's very good! His blog is great too, so go on over and see for yourself. Don't forget to wish him a happy birthday!
Love your BOM's. Such pretty flowers. And wow a trip to Maine. I've always wanted to visit. Sounds like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the completed quilt.
Block of the Week. Hmmm! That would really be pushing you to get things done. But then you don't have to wait forever for the next block either.
ReplyDeleteUnsure what to tell you about your machine...I'd be very displeased myself. On a happier note....great looking flower blocks!!
ReplyDeleteOnce your machine is fixed you might want to let Pfaff themselves know what you had to go threw to get your machine fixed. If I were them I would like to know what the dealers are doing. This could make you think of not buying another Paff again and they would not like to hear that. Good luck
ReplyDeleteOoo pretty blocks Danielle. I'm from the Pacific coast and love to go home and smell the ocean again.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip!!!
Crispy
Enjoy the ocean time. Sounds so so nice. :o) Consider rescuing your machine from the black hole and take it to the Viking dealer for the repairs, a month is not even reasonable.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful floral colors. Pop over for a visit. TTFN ~Marydon
ReplyDeleteOh, I sure don't think I could do block a week! WTG to you for trying, though! They look great. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your blocks.
ReplyDeleteThat is really poor service at that store. Too bad for them because it sounds like they lost a customer and probably more because if I were you I would probably be warning my friends. Surely they must know how much a quilter needs her machine. A month that is way to long. Hope you get it this week. Maybe you could just go get it and take it to the other shop. It is your machine.
This is the BOW from Primitive Gatherings, right? This is beautiful!
