So I left her (see previous post for questions) in goods hands today. All though, secretly I didn't want to let her go. Of course I didn't bring my warranty card with me, duh, so I have to go back tomorrow (only 45 min each way). Good thing I actually found it when I got home. If it pays to be organized, then I'm always going to bee one broke woman! I hope whatever it is can be fixed, and it doesn't end up being too costly. I was tempted, and I admit it, I looked around at all of the new and improved models while I was there... a girl could really get in trouble around all those shiny new machines!
I did take a picture yesterday during a stretching break of her Pfaffness and the quilt. You can see the minkee on the back. Now there just a pile of an almost finished quilt on my table where she used to be :-(

Well, on a positive note, I'll have plenty of hand work to do while I wait. I know I must be crazy, but I signed up for a BOW - yes, that means block of the WEEK! Ha, ha! It's from my favorite wool peeps at Primitive Gatherings... The first one is done, I like the rich colors it has.

All for now... I can't seem to get that picture right side up... The star is pointing the wrong way.
I, too, hope the machine repair isn't too costly. *sigh* I love the wool block, but you are a brave one, my friend...a block a WEEK?? Whew....makes me nervous and I'm not even the one doing it!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteA week Danielle? I wish you luck on keeping up, a BOM is hard enough (a fete I've never accomplished) LOL. I truly hope your machine will be all better soon for very little cash.
ReplyDeleteIs Primitive Gatherings and online group? - I 'd be interested in that!! Love your block!!
ReplyDeleteIs that the Primitive Gatherings in Menasha, WI?
ReplyDeleteOh my... problems with Pfaffy... Not good! I feel your pain...
ReplyDeleteYour free motion quilting looks great! What a wonderful cuddly quilt that is going to be! 8-)
Your penquins/snowman blocks are adorable! Love'em! 8-)
Hope you are enjoying your handwork...
That wool project would certainly put a smile on my face, Pfaff woes or not, lol, that is a sweet block you made. Hope your machine is just a bit out of adjustment and will soon be home again. Your quilting is looking very good. :o)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your sewing machine! May I make a suggestion about your warranty...when I had my quilt shop I always stapled the receipt of the customer's sewing machine right to the back page of the sewing machine manual. I found over the many years I was in business, customer's hardly ever lost the manual for their machines. Some machines come with a 20 year warranty...so keeping the documentation is very important...and it saves you having to "good looking for it"!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your machine again. I love the BOW and yes by hand that sounds a little crazy. (At least for me) I can see why you were tempted though. It looks awesome. Hang in there while your machine is away.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your sewing machine. The quilt looks good so far.
ReplyDeleteLove your wool block. I saw that on their site and thought about doing it but didn't think I would be able to keep. So I passed. They did it last summer too so maybe next summer.
